Cartoon Mimicry Technique
(30 tokens)"Clan".
Description: Using a special type of ink, these specialized ninja are able to draw into existence cartoon creations. The users of this technique are very skilled artists.
Village: The Cartoon Mimicry users can be found in any village. This is considered a “clan” instead of a bloodline. (no extra cp, upgrades are done via rank).
Suffering for their art: For focusing on their art, the users of cartoon mimicry bypass their first element. This makes it impossible for them to become healers. They still roll for a second element at chunin.
Art Expertise: The users of the cartoon mimicry technique are excellent artists.
Genin: +1 to art techniques
Chunin: +2 to art techniques
Jounin: +3 to art techniques
Excelled Chakra Control: The users of this technique are usually very skilled at chakra control. This grants them an extra +10 cp.
All Cartoon Mimicry uses WIS
Cartoon Mimicry: Basic Art
Cartoon mimicry works a bit different then most jutsu. The user uses special paper and a pen to make their creations come to life. The creations can be anything, but the effects are the same. Higher inks can target more people, but usually don’t do as much damage as when targeting one person. When used in combat, that breaks down into this:
Practice Ink
Description: This is starting Ink
Aquired: Genin (Char Creation)
CP Cost: 3 cp
Pvp: 1d10 damage.
Aoe: 1 person.
Beginner Ink
Description: This is a basic ink for beginners. It’s slightly more powerful than the starting ink.
Aquired: Genin (Char Creation)
CP Cost: 5 cp
Pvp: 2d8 damage.
Aoe: Up to 2 people. When used as an AOE, it does 1d6 to each person.
Apprentice Ink
Description: This is strong ink. It’s the second best ink, (not including the fabled lost artists ink).
Aquired: Chunin(as soon as you become chunin)
CP Cost: 8 cp
Pvp: 3d8 damage.
Aoe: Up to 3 people. When used as an AOE, it does 1d8 to each person.
Master Ink
Description: This is strongest ink. (Not including the fabled lost artist ink)
Aquired: Jounin(as soon as you become jounin)
CP Cost: 13 cp
Pvp: 4d8 damage.
Aoe: Up to 4 people. When used as an AOE, it does 1d10 to each person.
Artist Ink
Description: This ink is the ink of legends. Few know of it’s existence and even those who are aware of it are unaware how to unlock it’s true potential.
Aquired: Jounin(must go through tough event to aquire)
CP Cost: 20 cp
Pvp: 4d10 damage.
Aoe: Up to 5 people. When used as an AOE, it does 2d10 to each person.
Cartoon Mimicry: Specialized Art
These are specialized artworks. They can’t be changed. (This is like normal jutsu)
The following are known at character creation:
Ink Blotch, Ink Substitution,Ink Mist
The rest need to be learned.
Ink Blotch
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: E
Chakra Cost: 1
Description: The user dips their pen in ink and wings it at the opponent. It’s a very basic attack.
Pvp: 1d4 damage
Ink Substitution
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: D
Chakra Cost: 3
Description: The user substitutes themselves with ink.
Pvp: Same as substitution.
Ink Mist Technique
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: D
Chakra Cost: 3 cp
Description: Similar to the body flickering technique, the user wraps their body in chakra-infused ink to hide themselves and leave the area.
Pvp: May use wis to flee a battle.
Ink Clone Technique
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C (need to be chunin to learn)
Chakra Cost: 8 CP per clone + 3 per round maintained per clone
Description: The user dips their pen in ink and draws a copy of themselves, which comes to life and acts as a bunshin.
Pvp: Creating a s Clone takes 1 round to do. With this technique, you can create 1 clone at Chunin level, and 2 at Joinin level. Once you have your clone, it acts like another person, giving you an extra action. Your shadow doppelganger(s) will go directly after you go. Their stats are your stats. If the clone gets hit, it gets dissipated. The person attacking the person with the clone out has to roll a d6 if they connect. When 2 clones are out, if they roll a 1-3…they hit the real person. If they roll a 4-6, they hit the clone. When two are out, 1-2 is the real person, 3-4 is clone 1, 5-6 is clone 2. This extra roll doesn’t apply to those with Sharingan. Solid clones do 1/2 damage and can not perform jutsu. Solid clones can help with jutsu, however, useing up their turn but adding a +2 to the jutsu roll.
Ink Armor
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Chakra Cost: 5 cp
Description: The user draws armor that covers their own body and protects them from harm.
Pvp: 2 dr for 1d8 rounds.
Ink Wings
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Chakra Cost: 5 cp
Description: The user draws wings which attaches to the users back and makes them faster.
Pvp: +2 to dex mod for 1d6 rounds
Ink Transport Technique
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Chakra Cost: 5 cp
Description: The user takes out a small piece of paper (that is extremely sticky on the back, like a post-it) and writes "transport" on it. The user then places it on his opponent. By concentrating a small amount of chakra, the user can transport to his opponent's location to either silently attack them or to reveal to his comrades the enemy's location.
Pvp: Uses wis to connect the paper. This must be done before the target goes into hideing. If successful, the user can either reveal the location of the hiding opponent to his/her alley,or transport to the hideing target and try to perform a sneak attack (hide +move silently +10 v.s listen+spot). In dm events, it also allows the user to track targets he hit with the paper. After revealing the targets location, or transporting and attacking the target, the paper falls off.
Super Beast Imitation Technique
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: B
Chakra Cost: 8 cp
Description: By drawing pictures on a scroll, the user can create life-size beings under his/her control. Since they are still made of ink, however, a single blow is usually enough to dispel them. The one exception to this are the snakes, which are used as living ropes to apprehend the target; they have been shown to be abnormally difficult to tear. It is unknown what sort of attack powers they might have, but it is certain that if they serve no other purpose, they can be used as excellent distractions.
Pvp: This can be used from hideing, without breaking the hide. The user chooses which beast they wish to draw. The effect of each beast differs:
Lion Like Beast: This creates a beast. The beast lasts for 1d4 rounds or until hit. It’s attack and defense are the same as the users wis mod. It’s turn is directly AFTER the users. It’s damage is 1d8. The user can have up to 2 of these out at a time, but each beast created costs the 8 cp.
Snake: This forms snakes that binds the target for 2d4 rounds or until hit.
Rats: This creates rats that scours the area and returns information back to the user. This allows the user to roll a spot/search roll at the time of the jutsu. The user adds their wisdom mod+20 to the roll.
Bird: This creates a giant bird that the user can ride. While it’s active it adds +3 to dodge and dex based attack rolls. The user can also use a turn to fly up into the air, making taijutsu unable to hit them. They can’t use taijutsu themselves, either. They can still be hit by long range attacks like ninjutsu, genjutsu or some thrown weapons or long range taijutsu(like kunai barrage)(they can use those too). Coming down does not take a turn. This bird lasts 1d8 rounds.
Mouse: This is an rp effect. It allows the user to communicate a short word to others. The user writes a word, and it transforms into a mouse and the mouse scampers off. The mouse is usually too small to attack by normal means (though dm’s can say if it can or not in events). The mouse then heads to the target and transforms back into the word or words upon arrival. The max amount of words allowed is 6.
