I had a dream recently that reminded me of the most disgusting gem people used to make and wear. Anyone know what it is and how it comes to be?

I think its been long enough, plus not many seem to care that much, so I'll spill. Back during the Spanish Inquisition, there were, of course, many many MANY methods of torture/murder. One of which included cooking someone alive inside a slow turning iron(maybe) ball. I don't know what its called, but I know I've seen one on the history channel long time ago, or read it in a book or something. Anyway, they would cook them till they are nothing but ashs, and the bones would often crystalize and people (more often nobles and high church members) would wear them as jewlery. I don't know any specific name for such "jewels," but there is my opinion on the most disgusting "jewel," "gem," ect, in origin. Thank you those who took notice of this. I'll leave it up if someone wants to comment on that or something.
