Hey everyone for those that were not on last night while it was being discussed the server and Kelly's computer had been running almost a solid 12 days straight with no rest. As some of you may have experienced the random time outs you can see why this down time was needed. Do not worry though the server WILL be back up at around 4( roughly 5-6 hours from now) this afternoon when "lazy butt" gets out of bed and turns her comp back on after doing some needed upkeep last night. After burning out a motherboard and other computer issues it is best to occasionally shut down her computer for some rest after long stints like this last for 12 days. Go outside its almost summer and it should be nice, and that big glowy thing in the sky? Yes don't stare at it trying it figure out what it is.... my eyes still hurt. We'll see you all later tonight.

Might be worth having "regularly scheduled downtime" once per week?
Same day, same time, every week - giving the PC a rest for a couple hours?

Hmm.... Same day... same Bat-channel... possibely.
I'll see if Kelly agree to the idea which I'm sure she will considering the motherboard she had to replace not long ago.

Yes 12 days is a long time to keep it going, too long.. you're lucky that it didn't fry something else and cause a.. I dunno let's say.. month long downtime until she could order and recieve a new part. Know what I mean? I agree with kyria only you should do it more than one long shut down once a week and more like two shorter shut downs twice a week on commonly empty hours. P.S. it's almost winter here

Up.
Parts are electrical and burn out when turning on and off, usually, just like a lightswitch. Unless, there are mechanical issues involved...etc..etc..
