That's what I'm saying *noddles* but in all reality I think there shouldn't be any bonuses at all. it would simplify everything and make the fights much more "ninjaesque in that they would be decided much faster with the limited hp and cp

epit thats the problem, build proboems, the "build help" thing has been set up by me only now, meaning that moust players who dont have good builds are cursed for low stats, and anyweys a 12 mod is FAST, and i mean it, 13-15 are chunin lvld mods, if you can get 12 at lvl 15 then thats a problem, but aslo because of the massive bonus you can get from items at genin, you can easiely get the lvl 12 mod on 15 AND proboly by 18 or 20 have a nother mod at 10 or hit 13 at 19, lowering the stat +s from items would not only even out the chances between players but ALSO make the fights more dinamik, it would make EVERY jutsue or hit count, also it would make blodlines like kagyuga have a bigger impackt.

I don't think you understand exactly what you're talking about.. if you lower the mods then ALL mods go down.. people use the same stat to defend as they do to attack so think about this...
Guy 1 has +12 gear Guy 2 has +12 gear
Guy 1 is a genin Guy 2 is a chunnin
Guy 2 thinks it's unfair
Guy 1 now has +8 gear Guy 2 now has +8 gear
Guy 2 thinks it's unfair
so on so forth
Not to mention missing ninja and other npc are made for +12 gear'd people... take away the +12 gear and now people have a mod that is like.. 10 lower instead of 4 lower than the missing ninja

After readign this debate, Ill get to the lists you have made but the item thing i want to adress.
I think that an overhaul of the items wouldent be a bad idea. But if we do do it it should be +12 to stats that way we arnt concerned with people who dont know where the good gear is. Stuff like that and the higher ranks of clothing for a village gives bonus to skills and such. Ill propose it to the dms if you all think its a good idea.

Fair enough, but i think a better idea would be to make like 3 or 4 sets of clothing for each rank of ninja... each focusing in a different skill set.. like one in hide/ms, another in spot/listen, another in set trap.. ect,.

*shrug* I simply placed my opinion, I like my idea, but then again its kinda my idea. So my opinion doesnt matter much, I jsut put it there because i've seen that used on many other server's (That will remain Unsaid cuss of the rules here) And the server's have been very sucessful. If you all dont liek teh idea thats fine, jsut an idea i threw out there cuss i have seen it work well. ^^

no one ever wants to add lvl, which makes it ICly a problem on top of everyone having +12 stuff, cause then genin can hit jonin like they are equal rank and stuff when a jonin or s. jonin should literally be able to wipe the floor with them no problem. im all for rank stuff only giving x +s per rank, and i think something should be done about the lvls regarding pvp and pv-npc-, but thats just my thoughts on this whole thing.

Oh ... also thought of somthing else, sorry xD for levels ... why not add full levels to rolls, not hlaf? (Idk, jsut seems to make it more realistic as well.)

But You know to balance out the mods, you add your level? <_< Well first of all I think that everyone should add level bonuses.. it's only fair.. and second you would have to choose a bonus to add at the beginning of the fight.. and no switching to another gear that's cheating. So preperation is key. If someone equipped hide and ms clothing and another set trap... well where as the person hiding is at a disadvantage for spotting trap, the trapper is at a disadvantage for the intial sneak attack. See my point? Also another idea I had was to make each rank grant higher mod points... like genin adds +4 in every attribute, chunnin is +6, Special Jounin is +8, Jounin is +10, and anbu is +12 And that would expand depending on your bingo book ranking on a missing or sound ninja...

Well, we're not final fantasy. We're not going to be doing 600 damage and having 70000 health. If we upgraded some of the stats and made them higher, we'd have to raise everything to maintain balance. Same with using all levels instead of half.

not asking for 70k hp, just to make it so s. jonin an jonin are obviously stronger than genin and chunin. if they want to be so awsome as genin, spend tokens on stat ups early on. "but thats expensive and takes lots of time!" duh, its going to be, but if you want to be a pwnsome, or above average, genin, youll take the time to do it.

Thats fine! The akatsuki where our main bad guys for a while. We are useing them too much in my oppinion. I can run a plot as to why they where not active and explain this. Put that on my checklist The storyteller plot is joshes ^^ I have two plots going on right now, one is about a kingdom far far away that there is currently a prince missing of. So there is that one. And one that im going to start today when i get back from work! If you send me player story requests i can try to work them into events. I try to make events more personal each time i run them. If each player took the time to send me a list like "My dads alive my moms missing" i can run things that are happy endings and sad endings for people. like with inari i knew her parents where in a town and i had them become victum to an attack. If i know things like this i can throw some drama in! I agree the fundimental story however we cannot always progress. IT has been tossed around between the players and myself of simply leaving the naruto main story and going off and doing our own thing. Because the naruto world is verry restricting. And the naruto world only covers one continent we need to remember that aswell. Hes around trust me. been around alot more There are three HUGE plots going around this actually. THey are just under wraps as they should be, Danzo doesnt work in the open and tsunade wouldent trust people she doesnt know she can trust. I know of 4 PCs that are involved. Thats it. Every time i bring sasuke in for an event people leave. For good reason. Fighting sasuke or naruto is a asured way to die. they are the strongest people in the manga/anime. Period. These two shouldent be faught and if they are it should be at half there strength. These guys at full power should have a mod of about 35 to there main stat.
