Should INT and WIS be ok for Substitution?

Obviously i favor YES. It's such a simple jutsu, everyone can do it (its an academy for crying out loud...lol) and since every shinobi is either wis or int as well as dex or str, this should be put into our rulebook.

erhm... it's because... Kawarimi (Replacement) is no illusion. You focus on an item or person in the nearby surroundings and exchange places with it, it's a space-time technique, it's really ninjutsu.

Those able to use intelligence to substitute are NOT doing space-time exchange. They do stand, in reality to everyone else, in place. As the ennemy attacks them, an illusion attacks the nervous system, making them see that the person in question either disappears, or place effects to 'deflect' the ennemy's attack. But they are really NOT even moving from their spot, the one that is forced to move is the ennemy, they are affected by an illusion.

both of you make valid points...this is only to protect those somewhat who may not have any dex or wis mod at all and are somehow "forced" into rolling one of the two.

exactly to aid str/gen users str can utterly destroy anything they want for no chakra do you know a str hit can deal more than a B to A rank ninjutsu? so can 1 d rank genjutsu a d rank genjutsu can be used to tag someone up to 3 times before even stabbing them with two blades and not worry about them moving or dodging its supposed to be that way and so shall it stay

Int Substitution is Clan based only.

It's a pretty strong A rank if your doing more damage than an A rank jutsu. Ninjutsu are the basic damage makers overall. They're the mages of the world. Strong, super powerful spells...limited length of that power...etc etc

and sub is wis.

Alright then, lets be fair.

1. Ninjutsu users will be -forced- to roll INT to resist genjutsu, and not WISDOM that is fair.
If you people do say that they have to roll either WIS/DEX/STR for a defensive manouver.

Why do few pick genjutsu? cause it has literally no defensive side by it.

2. I personally think that substitution should be both WIS/INT... To balance them out, cause right now WISDOM is the most op stat on the server.

Wisdom and and intelligence are different things.. and we do go against the naruto world by doing this, but its in the sake to make it a fun place.

So to the conclusion.

If intelligence is shot down in the fact to substitute, then i say, MAKE INTELLIGENCE, the only roll to come out from a genjutsu, INT vs INT..

As a genjutsu user requiring others to roll INT to break my genjutsus would be devistating when my gens are already deadly. Allowing a person with "WISdom" to roll to resist or break genjutsu is used to help balance out a "sleeping dragon of OP". Not many realize how dangerous genjutsu can be so to stunt it and make it a level ground thing substitution using INT is bloodline only and letting others with WIS have a chance to break my genjutsu is fair.

I also play a DEX/INT genjutsu specialist which means when i use my taijutsu i'm not that great or powerfull but when someone blows a grand fireball my way i have a chance of getting out of the way. Genjutsu is a support specialty and isn't meant to be able to take down two or more people in one roll used with smart tactics and planing its possilble to do so over time yes but not in one shot so to make it fair we allow people who have devoted their characters to ninjutsu a chance to break gen but not a good one.

Take Tongu (my Gen character) for example if you fall into his gen because of his INT bonus I get a natrual +4 (due to an 18 INT mod) to the dc to break free sometimes putting it over what some can roll leaving them helpless and defenseless. Coupled with an 18 mod thats +22 IF I roll a one thats a 23 to break a 15? thats a 37 wis roll to get free a 20? yeah your screwed. Unless your another gen user on par with Tong your screwed so to level this out we allow WIS to resist Gen. As a DM looking about the server at peoples stats and builds on a daily basis to ensure my "bad guys" in my events aren't too OPed its real easy to pick out who uses what seeing as how most ninjutsu users only have bonuses to their INT from items maxing out at a +3 mod difference most having no higher then a 4-5 INT mod... versus my 18 thats no contest so yes WIS to break my genjutsu is acceptable and more then far. Subbing with INT is a bloodline thing and makes a very powerful sleeping giant stay asleep.

Or. You guys can stop min/maxing and even out your chars with a main stat and a backup stat. There's an idea for you too.

oh and chris, on the server wis is used to represent chakra control and ninjutsu and stuff.

Might I just put in how many characters say, IC and how many People say OOCly "I hate Genjutsu" this is likly why, and, that is all enjoy.

Those who mainly focus on genjutus can level a battlefield with a glance, and one gen is an auto escape from battle, if you focus mainy on gen expect to get hit once or twice but onne good illusion is all you need, the only people who suffer from this is a str/gen person who wants ungodly dmg and auto hit
