Hey guys some of you may or may not know but I am an Officer in my technology's orginization, SkillsUSA-GAP. I went to state back at the beginning of the year and brought home a gold and silver medal in my competitions. I had decided not to go to the National competitions so I wouldn't have to pay for it and I could help send one of our members to Nationals instead.
I got a call from my Advisor that one of our members will not be able to make it to National Competitions and I was the next quailified member to go (you have to win a gold medal at State level to even attend National level). The Member who can't go is already paid for by fundrasiers and a scholarship that was given to our club by the school to go. Aside from a little spending money my way is paid and I have a room.
So... what that means is I will be on a bus Monday morning at 4am heading to Kansas for the SkillsUSA National Competition for my campus. I will not be back till Saturday late in the afternoon. At the hotel there is no internet unless you pay for it and depending on the price I most likely will not pay for it. In short I'm "going dark" for the next week and will be back Sunday June 27th.
